Meet Tye J. Cressman, Esquire
Tye grew up in Titusville, Pennsylvania and attended Pennsylvania State University as an undergraduate, receiving his B.A. in English and B.A. in Journalism in 2005. He then attended the Dickinson School of Law, focusing on estate planning and taxation, receiving his J.D. in 2008.
Following law school, Tye worked at Pepicelli, Youngs & Youngs, PC, where he practiced in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, real estate, and workers' compensation.
Tye formed Cressman Law Offices, PLLC in 2011 to focus his practice in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid planning, elder law, and estate administration. His practice also includes significant real estate estate and corporate work. Since May 2011, Cressman Law Offices has served over 400 individuals, families, and companies in Crawford, Erie, Mercer, and Warren counties.
Tye's practice focuses on bringing a personal feel to the exceedingly complex matters of Medicaid law, trust formation, tax planning, real estate, and business planning. Making complex and difficult concepts understandable to clients is the heart of his practice and his success.
Tye is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Trusts & Estates section, the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (PAELA), the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and the Crawford County Bar Association. He regularly speaks to groups throughout northwestern Pennsylvania regarding Medicaid planning and other elder law topics.
In his free time, Tye coaches Allegheny College's Mock Trial Team, is the past president of Big Brothers and Sisters of Crawford County, and is a member of the Meadville Chamber of Commerce board of directors. He lives in Meadville with his wife, Meghan.
